possible eviction..
Possession - Section 8 and Section 21

I served a section 21 late in October, which expired in early January. The notice of issue from court tells me I have 3 months to file a request for an order, otherwise it will be stayed. Could you explain what this means? If I wait more than 3 months ( dependent on outcome of rent claim..), do I need to reapply to the court, or worse, serve another section 21 . I have not renewed any tenancy agreement.
