Please Help!

I bought a new build 2 bed flat 3 years ago and was given a brochure by the management company stating that the domestic water supply was part of the management charge. However, I received a bill from the utility company before Xmas stating that I owed them £1,000 and that they were about to send the bailiffs around to cease goods. I have never lived at the property and it has been tenanted ever since I took ownership.

I have asked my solicitor for a copy of the lease and it looks to my untrained eye that the water is included here too. The management company have stated that the information on the brochure that I was given was incorrect and that the water is not included. I would like somebody to have a look at the lease and let me know whether it is my responsibility or that of the management company.

I've spoken to the management company and they are very unhelpful. The water company just want their money and don't seem to want to help at all. I think that's its bizarre that i have-not heard anything from the (the water company) for the 3 years that I've owned the place though.

Any help will be gratefully received

David
