Possession - Section 8 and Section 21

I have a house share with 4 sharing, one of the tenants is a nightmare, drunk all the time and stealing from the other tenants. I issued a Section 21 on day 1 of tenancy which was 4/7/09. Do i have to wait till end of Tenancy or can i gain possession before. is it just a matter of issuing a letter and asking her to leave ? what is the best way to go about it ?
