Section 21b - dates and notice

I have a tenant who started a 6 month tenancy on 3/8/09 and which ran to 2/2/10. I issued a Section 21b on the day he moved in with an expiry date of 3/2/10.

Question 1 - is this expiry date on the section 21b correct given the tenancy agreement dates?

The tenancy agreement has expired but is now running month to month. I now wish to take the flat back into my possession as soon as possible.

Question 2 - I am not sure whether I need to given written notice or whether I can legally take possession of the flat back at any time now that the tenancy is running month to month and the section 21b has been issued/expired.

Any help is appreciated.
