Section 21 notice period

Hello

I signed a 12 month AST on 06/06/ 09 with a tenant and served a rla section 21 Notice on 08/08/09. The tenancy has since run on a periodic tenancy.

I now wish to invoke the section 21 notice and wish to confirm the notice period required. Is it 2 months or until the next periodic period, ie if invoked on 06 March the 06 April?
