Possession - Section 8 and Section 21

Hi,

I protected the deposit by DPS and served a section 21 notice just after we signed the AST (RLA 0607) agreement, all the same day. That was in July 2008. At that time I didn't know that I have to provide the "Prescribed Information" to the tenant within 14 days. I never sent out that information. I had read all the relevant info in the RLA and the DPS websites but I believe there was not mention of the "Prescribed Information"
I am wondering if it was compulsory at that time and if my section 21 is still valid? If it is not valid, do I need to provide the information now (after more than two years)in order to serve another notice?
