Possession - Section 8 and Section 21

I have tenants on a 6 month AST which runs from 29/10/11 to 29/4/12 and have decided to sell the property. I think I need to use a S21(1)(B) notice but am not sure about which date to insert in the "after" section to ensure that the notice is valid. I'd be grateful for any advice that anyone has. Thanks in advance.
