notice to quit using section 21
Possession - Section 8 and Section 21

My tenants persistently paid rent late so I gave them notice to quit using section 21(correctly served).
They have now assured me that the standing order is in place to remedy this and this months money was on time.
1.If I allow them to stay is this section 21 still valid for future use or do I need to serve a new one?
2.Do I need to rescind the notice in writing?
