How long does a S21 (B) Last
Possession - Section 8 and Section 21

I issued a S21B at the start of a 6 month tenancy in Sept 2008 which the tenant signed and acknowledged. The S21 expires after 31/03/09. Although I allowed the tenant to stay I never gave a new tenancy agreement. I now want the property back. Can I still rely on this S21 and if so how should I proceed.
