We started a tenancy using the RLA 2010 Tenancy Agreement

We served a section 21 notice which expired on the last day of the tenants six months tenancy date. The notice was served correctly.

On a previous tenancy agreement we understood that as long as the notice expiry date on the section 21 date was the last of the six months tenancy agreement we could use the section 21 any date after the expiry date as long as we hadn't given the tenant another agreement.

Looking at the actual wording of the RLA agreement we just wanted to be absolutely sure that as the agreement specifically mentions in section A(2) 'unless the tenancy has been given notice it will continue month to month' and we did give the notice but we didn't act on it does it mean we need to give another 2 months notice now.

Thank you
