I have someone from a solar panel installation company coming to view my rental property that I let to a couple, to give me a quote for fitting solar panels, so I can take advantage of the new FIT (Feed in tariff 41.3p/kWh) payments. Do you know if this is an allowable expense to offset against rental income, to reduce my taxable income?
