I am signing an AST beginning on 12 May 2007 for a year. The tenant want a break clause added as for 6 months. Can I just add this in by hand and when does the year end is it 11 May 2008 or 11 April 2007.

I also want to put up the rent after the 6 months,how do i decide how much to ask for.
