I issued a 6 month Assured shorthold tenancy on the 1st May 2007 &am wanting to increase the rent at the end of the term which is at the end of October.

The tenancy has no clause for rent increase so not sure which is the best way to deal with this.

Should i use a section 13 rent increase document?

Re issue a new contract at the end of October in which case do i need to serve a section 21 to bring the original contract to its end?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Karen
