A landlord is moving out of his property today and has it advertised for let with us, he has asked if we will go out to do inventory today whilst he is present, i have advised we would not do an inventory until tenants are found and it will be done 24hrs prior to tenants moving in as damage may be caused in between this period which tenant could then be blamed for if not noted on the inventory, the landlord is not happy and is adamant inventory is done today. Am i correct in telling him cannot be done yet.
