This is more just for your information. I have a property in Salford which a tenant has left in a bad state. It requires a complete refurbishment.
Previously I could have applied for 100% council tax discount.
New rules from April only 10% discount for twelve months.
So an empty property now pays more council tax than a single occupied property.
This increased cost will make it less likely landlord casn afford to refurbish proerties and I sugest should be campaigned against.
