If someone had an existing ast which commenced after April 2007 and the deposit had not been registered, in theory one could register the deposit albeit very late and send the tenant the prescribed information.

This may block any potentual suing for the deposit.

However it seems to be the case that TDSL will not allow a deposit to be registered against a rolling contract.

Could this be a one off adviser or must a new ast be put in place to get cover?
