Electric Appliance checks

We obviously have annual gas appliance checks/Landlords certificates and servicing of them in our properties (eg boiler and gas hobs).
But what is the rule regards having eg the electric oven checked when there is a gas hob as this has not been done?
Also - does the fridge have to have a check?
