Tenant has a dog and did not advise me

Hi

I put a new tenant in one of my properties about 7 weeks ago.
He has paid the 1st rent payment and deposit before he moved in.
The next rent payment (ie second payment) was due aqpprox 2 weeks ago.
He has not paid this and is avoiding my calls.
When I went round there the otehr day I heard a dog in the flat.
Can I evict him on the grounds he has a dog in there?

Also I want to make an inspection. Can you please provide me with the correct wording so I can post to him and then enter the property legally.
