HI

I have a potential tenant who has just handed his notice in with his existing landlord but has been told he is tied for another 4 months. Can you tell me the position regarding serving notice. He has been in the property for 18 months but the letting agent makes him renew his tenancy every 6 months rather than rolling the tenancy on after the first 6 months. Does this mean that he forsakes his normal one month notice period even though he has been there for 18 months?
