getting the deposit back if the tenant has disappeared

Hi RLA,

My tenant has disappeared owing lots of rent. The deposit can't be returned until the tenant signs and the deposit scheme are trying to trace the tenant. What happens when the tenant is not found. Can I have access to the deposit or does the scheme get to keep it?
