We have an Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreement that was signed with our tenanat in October 2001 and the deposit taken then. The deposit has not been changed since that date. We have issued a section 21(4) (A)notice.

Is it correct that we are not required to comply with the Government Deposit Scheme as the deposit was taken prior to the implementation of the legislation?
