We have some prospective tenants who wish to move into our house in two weeks time, however they have stated that they are dependent upon the deposit being returned by the current landlord to pay our deposit. With the new deposit protection schemes it is not likely that they will have had their deposit returned by the time they need to move in. Is there any way of ensuring we get our deposit if we let them move in without paying the full amount? Any suggestions welcome.
