Hi

My tenants have now moved out, upon the check out inventory I mentioned to them I would need to replace the hall carpet because it was badly stained due to theirs cats.

I have received quotes to replace the carpet with fitting. What I really wanted to know is can I claim any costs towards petrol?

I have had to drive around to several carpet shops (and quite a distance!) to try and find the same carpet so it matches the stairs, but it has been discontinued, therefore I have found a similar one.

I also would like to know, the carpet is not the cheapest because it was laid down when it was my home, can I still put this carpet down or do I have to find a cheap carpet now?

many thanks
