I have a tenant on a AST who asked to leave a month early. I was advised to tell the tenant that they could on the understanding that someone took over the remainder of their tenancy. The person moved out and no new tenant was found. The riginal tenant has not paid her last month's rent. Can i get this from her deposit and was the initial advice correct?
