I am a landlord who looks after some properties for other landlords. In the agreement I have with these landlords it makes no mention of me spending time initiating, for instance, claims through the smalls claim courts (a tenant has left owing around £200).
Am I obliged to handle this on behalf of the landlord? We have already verbally agreed that I will not be managing any future tenants he may heve. If so, am I within my rights to charge for my time?
