Rent arrears affecting 1 tenant in 2 bed flat which is let out to 2 tenants

Have a 2 bed flat that is let out to 2 students on ASTA. 1 tenant is in arears of more than 3 months for her share of the rent but the other tenant pays her share up to date.

What steps can I take to evict the tenant who is in arrears? Would I have to evict the both of them using section 8?

Also as the rent is partly paid would this still count as being in arrears for the 2 months

The flat is let as a whole to the both of them with a fixed pcm rent (specified in the tenancy agreement) for the whole flat. They decided among themselves how much each would pay based on the size of the rooms that they chose
