We have just had to completely refurbish a property that the tenant left in an appalling state. The father of the tenant is the guarantor ( paid the rent for her for the last 6 months ).
The father is a builder &has made good most of the damage, there is however an outstanding bill ( for new flooring etc ) of £1000.00.
He is refusing to pay. We have good evidence to back up our claim.

Before we look at claiming through the courts, we wondered if anyone else had done this &if so, was it worth it, both financially &in term of stress etc

many thanks
