has anyone had experience of having the pre payment meters exchanged for credit meters when a new tenancy commences.
we have had tenants that have had pre payment meters installed (either by choice or enforced) only to find that the utility companies now charge to remove them,so your property is stuck with them unless the landlord or the new tenant pays.
i think that new tenants are unfairly penalised as they do not have access to best deals etc unless they pay up first.
have complained to ofgem to no avail so any info appreciated.
