We are a husband and wife landlord of a property, and own it jointly.

If I (landlord) sign the AST can my husband (landlord) sign as a Witness? What would be our legal position if he did, and then we had to evict the tenant at some point?

Would our AST be invalid as he is not "independent"?
Can one of our relatives be a Witness?
