Hello. My wife and I are both non resident landlords and have been given approval from HMRC to recieve gross rental income each month. we have recently departed from our letting agent but the tenant is staying in the house.

My question is....

Now we haven't got a letting agent, do we need to hire another agent to collect the rent each month or can the tenant pay the rent directly to our bank account without deducting tax?.
