I have been advised by a friend who is a managing agent in Newcastle that since April if you inc the following clause in your tenancy agreement then the housing benefit must pay you direct from day one rather than waiting till the tenant is 8 weeks in arrears.

" Any money paid by the DSS must be paid direct to landlord"

Can you please calarify?
