If an initial tenancy agreement is drawn up for one year, not six months, with two months' written notice being required on both sides, can the tenancy be terminated by me as landlord after only six months? If so, does the two months still stand, or is only one month's written notice required? The tenants have been in the property for just over six months and have not broken the terms of the tenancy agreement in any way, however, I am considering selling the property and would want it vacant so that it can be refurbished before putting it on the market.
