Hi

I am a first time landlord and have found a family interested in renting my property. I have recieved all the personal details etc and have processed a credit check against the main tenant.

The report shows that the potential tenant has a score rating of +167, i think this is due to a county court marking of £2500 on his report. The date of the court was only last month, they are also self employed, I dont know if it is buisness related?

Is there anyway I can find out what the CCJ was for?

Also in there personal information they have provided me, they have stated they are a home owner and have lived at the same address for over 3 years.

The report shows they have only been on the electoral roll for 1yr and I can see other peoples names at the address from 04-08.

I have got prevous addresses for the applicant from the credit check.

I am looking for advise please on the above points.

Kind regards
