Hi everyone,
compliments of the season to you all.

I have a query regarding the payment of Local Housing Allowance.

My tenants have become unemployed and have been granted Housing benefit which will paid in arrears commencing 17th January.
Their rent is due on 8th of each month so in effect they will be 9 days in arrears (that's if it is transferred to me the day they receive it)!
I realise that in most RLA members experience 9 days arrears is not a massive problem however it causes me difficulty as my mortgage payment goes out on 12th of each month and at this time of year i simply haven't got the spare cash floating around.
Is it possible to withdraw a proportion of their deposit from the DPS to cover the difference (with tenants agreement of course)? If I can do that I will then adjust their payment date permanently.
any advice will be appreciated.
cheers
