One of our tenants who lived alone died suddenly on 9th June. Her son came to the office on the 10th to let me know and ask for a copy of the Inventory so he knew what was ours. He was obviously upset and I was very sympathetic. I had not heard from him by the 3rd week in June about returning the keys so I rang and he told me everything would be cleared out and keys returned by the end of the month at the latest. I have called round when passing and looked from the road and it appears that everything is still in the house. The standing order for rent has been cancelled and the bond is decreasing! I don't want to be heavy handed and feel very sorry for him but I am just getting a bit concerned that I am going to end up being out of pocket here. Any advice would be much appreciated.
