Hi we are in the process of perusing a Guarantor for damages and loss of rent to a property. Our solicitor has traced the Guarantor and sent a letter with all the costs we are hoping to receive, such as cleaning, damage & loss of rent as stated above. The solicitor has received a letter back from the Guarantor stating that he has an IVA in place and that he could only manage to pay £10 a month. We have had no evidence of the IVA and are at a loss of what to do next he owes over £3,000. Our Selector has advised us in light of the IVA and the tenant only being able to pay £10 per month that we should not pursue the guarantor any further.

Any advice would be much appreciated

Thanks.
