Hi,

We have been approached by a girl of 17 who wants to rent one of our houses. She has a baby and has contacted the benefit agency who state that she would qualify for housing benefit.

What is the best way forward for the above situation? Does the person have to be 18 for a tenancy agreement to be valid? She could get a Guarantor as her boyfriend is working but the tenancy would have to be in her name for her to qualify for housing benefit.

Regards,
D Wallman
