I was due to sign out a tenant today. He has gone without leaving a forwarding address. He has taken with him a dining table, chairs, nearly new cooker and fridge (both still under warranty) and left some unwanted furniture. He signed an inventory when he moved in that shows them as being present and in very good condition.

I have the name and address of his brother and I know where this tenant was working when he took my property. Sadly, as I knew this was to be a shortish let, I took 2 months' rent in advance but no bond. There's a lesson learned.
