Please could you advise regarding possible future electrical and safety laws? Is there a new law coming out in June/July this year regarding updating electrics and RCD Boards - or anything related to electrics in a property being rented out? My electrician wants to update the existing fuse board which I've never had a problem with and replace it with a new 100A Mainswitch and RCD controlled miniature circuit breaker board. The existing fuse board must have been installed in the early eighties. I want to be a responsible tenant but don't want to spend unnecessary money. Would greatly appreciate your advice. Many thanks for your help.
