Tenants have moved out of a property and whilst there they have had the gas and electric meters changed to pre-payment meters with scottish power. I would like them changing back to ordinary quarterly meters but scottish power inform me this will cost £200 per meter to do this. Is this correct and should scottish power have changed the meters in the first place without my written agreement as landlady. your experiences would be appreciated.
