Our new tenant put sanitary towels in the SaniFlo macerator. This caused it's complete failure and the total bill for replace and fit is £514. The device was seven months old. She had not been specifically advised not to do this but there is warning prohibition notice on the bathroom wall near the device which includes a picture of such. I can supply a picture of the warning notice if required.I wish to hold the tenant responsible. She protests that she had not been given sufficient warning. Please can you assist?
