Oversea student guarantors

Hi,

I have a foreign student as a prospective tenant. The problem is that he doesn't know anybody in this country to act as a guarantor.

I have checked the job references for his father and are ok, but I think it is not a good practice to use it as a guarantor because he lives in Austria.

Do I have any alternative way of guarantee? I cannot find any solution other than him to pay 6 months in advance.
