As a landlord I am currently in discussion's with a main insurance company who are going to offer the following:

A comprehensive credit check which even looks at how the tenant is currently paying their credit commitments i.e credit cards etc and it tells me if they are in arrears or not, normal job check and ID check rolled in - the company who do this can also register the tenants rental payment record on their credit file and also issue defaults if they dont pay meaning no more "moon lighters" as they cant rent anywhere else until they pay the debt

12 months rent and legal cover - max £10k of rent £50k of legal cover

and Tenant Deposit Insurance which will cover a deposit upto £2000, thus avoiding TDS

all for the price of £150 a hit

my question to the forum is "do you have any questions you would like me to ask"?, I personally think this is to good to be true but have been assured it is not.
