We have a tenant that has been there 6 years. She is leaving with about 10 days notice to us. Although she has always paid rent promptly now that she is leaving she has cancelled her standing order and so will be about 5 days overdue with rent on the day she leaves. We are entitled to retain one months rent from the date of her giving notice, but if we hold her to that does that also mean she is entitled to change her mind and say she is keeping the keys ?

Thanks,

David
