Hi

I have a tenant who moved out without giving any notice; I was only made aware during a visit to housing benefit by one of their staff on the 7th Jan 09.

The tenant allegedly moved out on the 30th December and now housing benefit are asking me to pay all the overpayment back to them.

Is this right? Or should it not be raised to the tenant? I have appealed it but they are still saying that I have to pay it.

This has happened a few times so desperately need some advice.

Many thanks
