Hi,

We are looking for some assistance regarding a problem our tenant is having with the next door neighbour.

Our property is on a new build estate and has one allocated parking space as does the next door neighbour. However, there is a disabled bay between the two spaces and our tenant is complaining that the next door neighbour is leaving a car there for up to 5 days at a time. The space is not noted on the deeds as part of the land for either property.

The tenants have had words with the neighbour but the matter is getting more out of hand as the neighbour is constantly using the space even though there is no disabled parking permit on show.

The local council have said that it is not a matter for them to get involved in.

We know these things can happen as households tend to have more than one car these days but has anyone else had a similar experience where they could provide some advice and guidance?

Thanks in advance.
