I have a combi boiler in a property, that broke down a couple of weeks ago. It has a gas safety cert. but has not been serviced since installation 2 years ago. The repair has been carried out under warranty. The tenant and her 4yrr old had to move out for a couple of nights, deciding to stay with her partner which was 25 miles from my property. The tenant also had to take two half days of leave so she could let the repair man into the property.
The tenant is asking for compensation for the inconvenience. My question is what would you think would be a fair amount?
