Hi we have a property with tenant on an assured shorthold tenancy. They are now into their 2nd year so the contract is now just rolling on month to month. We are selling the property with the tenant staying and have found a buyer who is happy to continue the tenancy. What do we have to do regarding the tenancy agreement? I assume we need to transfer it into the new landlords name somehow? Is there a standard form to fill in or do we need to involve a solicitor?

As I understand it the deposit which is held by the DPS is transferable directly via the DPS, can you confirm this is the case.

Thanks for any advice given.
