My tenants are responsible for the garden but don't keep up with trimming the hedge. I don't want to make an issue as generally they are pretty good, but don't want to add a hedge trimmer to the inventory because of health a safety potential liabilities. Can I just give them a new hedge trimmer as an outright gift to get round this?
