Dear Helpdesk
The internet abounds with advice for landlords on how to ASK for a reference from a previous landlord. But there is no help at all if you are GIVING a reference as a landlord or agent. I have been asked to give a reference for an outgoing tenant. Apart from stating the obvious, is there any sort of disclaimer I can put in the letter to protect myself?
